Oriental Merchant Europe will move from Zaltbommel to Oss
The Asian food wholesaler - Oriental Merchant Europe has bought a 5 hectare land at an industrial terrain Vorstengrafdonk in Oss. We've chosen this area to build our new office and warehouse.
The licenses are almost complete and the ground will be transfered to Oriental Merchant Europe within a few months. The process of tendering will be followed afterwards. The total building area is about 30000 square meters, in which the office building is about 2500 square meters.
Oriental Merchant is headquartered in Australia and specializes in importing Asian authentic ingredients from Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. The company supplies Asian food to wholesalers, Cash & Carry, supermarkets, catering suppliers and independent retailers. In Zaltbommel, it is located at the Heksekamp.
Mr. Jacques Vaessen, director of Oriental Merchant Europe said: "Originally we were under the name Kai Tak in Kruisstraat near Rosmalen. We are now making a second big moving step. In Zaltbommel we are too small and we have to rent extra warehouse spaces. That is not practical. We can now become three times bigger and we really need a new bigger place to support our growth".
